Bridge Runners Spring Run 2009

Listen, you fuckers, you screwheads. Here is a man who would not take it anymore. A man who stood up against the scum, the cunts, the dogs, the filth, the shit. Here is a man who stood up.
Thank you Mike Sase now you can sit down!!
Yes Yes here we are again in the Spring of 2009 running with the Bridge Runners on a chilly Spring afternoon. It was a different run this time more organized and energized with a lot of new faces. We had Dj's, Models, Mothers, Fathers, Photographers, Directors, Writers, Actors, Financial Managers, Club Owners and a few unemployed. You name it they were there to run 3.21 miles. It was a lot of fun to have a guy named Freaky Fridge on his bike with Boom Box cranking the tunes while we ran. He was a big guy with a Day Glo Green shirt riding along with us. He had some trouble keeping up with us but i think we might have motivated him to run. After the run we had a party at the Nike Sportswear store at 21 Mercer Street and ate great Spring Rolls and dumplings. Thanks to Kai Regan and Ben Duhl for making it extra special with their dedication to the Club. I really feel like the Bridger Runners is a great running club that doesnt make anyone feel out of place. Its kind of a runners club for outsiders. If you want more info check out the new BRIDGE RUNNERS site or BRIDGE RUNNERS BLOG

Dont Give Old Ladies Guns

I spent a day with the Palm Beach Police Department for Civilian training day and I was learning how to make an arrest, do a traffic stop, and shoot a gun under extreme conditions. I also learned how to hang Elderly Women who want to shoot guns with sunglasses on. Thanks to Michelle and the whole Palm Beach Police Unit for letting me hang with them and document this day.

Blackberry Curve 8900 VS. iPhone

I recently purchased the new Blackberry Curve 8900 and I'm quite happy with it. I discovered the Blackberry on a trip to the French Alps and I kept sending emails to my girlfriend in New York thru my friends account and i fell in love with the device. Ive gone thru about 10 different models since then.
I also have a fondness for Apple products. Wherein lies the problem. Im a die hard Mac geek to the fullest extent but when it comes to the iPhone they havent won me over yet. I think its a great product and it has its pluses but Im sticking with my Curve. I was recently in San Francisco for business and met a few friends for dinner. The dinner table was filled with iPhones. At the table were about 4 Apple employees and some fashion and music people. Everyone had an iPhone but me. I proudly pulled my Curve out and wrote a quick text. One of the guys said "Do you hear that noise? what is that? oh its buttons being pressed haaa haa" Everyone at the table chuckled. My reply was simple
I said "I seem to remember the motto that Apple had it was "THINK DIFFERENT" and everyone i see here tonight thinks the same" The table was quite after that.

Cadence Cup Prosepct Park Series

Saturday morning I was standing in Prospect Park at 630am with my rented 300 mm lens looking for my son in packs of speeding cyclist. It was my sons first Cat 5 race and I wanted to be there to support him and to document it. I don't usually shoot action like this but it was refreshing to try and shoot Cycling. I hope the Racers get a chance to look at the rest of the pics and find themselves. I didnt really know anyone but I admired the determination of all the cyclist to be out so early in such cold weather to race. It was so cold that i had to keep my gloves on to shoot. Hopefully ill see more races under better conditions.
