I dont recommend films that often but this film really touched me. It came from the Vice guys and its actually worth seeing.
Its about the only Heavy Metal band to come out of Iraq. It gives deep insight to what this war has done to that country and to some kids who are just trying to keep a dream alive.

Fuck Digital Film Still Rules(update)

Arron's Girl
I had a catharsis recently that was an extreme change in emotion for me, resulting in a restoration in my faith in film. Im not sure what it was. Maybe the fact that I shoot so much got dam digital? That everyone I know owns a Canon G9 or G10 and thinks there a photographer. That no one notices the subtle differences. Whatever it may be I feel like a child reborn. I don't get too excited about anything anymore but i shot 2 jobs and a few personal rolls and I had some old feelings come back. It was falling in love again. Maybe Im in love again who knows. I got the rolls back and i was blown away by the results. I might have in the past shot a roll of B and W and then a few digital shots but I shot only film with no back up and there were butterflies in my stomach waiting for the film to be developed and when i got it back i felt it was worth the wait. I shot with my old trusty Leica M6, a Yashica T4, and I tested my Ex Girls Contax G2 which i might ad is a fantastic camera. Here are a few shots from the past few weeks.

British GQ STYLE
The new issue of Brisish GQ Style is out and I have a few pages in it. I covered the shows of Thom Browne and my favorite Patrik Ervell and did portraits of the models before they hit the runways. It was a fun assignment because I didnt have to deal with the runway aspect and I was able to do portraits of the guys the way I want. A big up to the editor David Bradshaw for the assignment.
Cheers Mate!
