"CAPTURED" CLAYTON PATERSON'S L.E.S FILM

"DIE YOU YUPPIE SCUM!" is probably what you would have heard if you were walking down ST. Marks Street during the days of the turmoil in the Lower East Side of Manhattan when the shit hit the fan in the early 80s-early 90's. Before NYU hipsters and Japanese Tourist Students took over the LES there was a city on to its own that made up Alphabet City. Artist, Punks,Junkies and Hispanics made up the melting pot of Aves A-D. Not to many people had the balls to document the uprisings and battles with NY finest in the days like Clayton Paterson. He was out there documenting with Video and Film Camera at the cost of several arrest and beat downs. To quote Clayton "It can take losing everything you love to find your own significance"

. The film "CAPTURED" is a must if you think you know NY.
