Shadi's Book Club Presents


This is the book that I am currently reading. I saw an interview with the author Christopher McDougall on the "The Daily Show" and I became obsessed with the Tarahumara Indians of Mexico. I'm promoting this book because I believe this answers why most people have so many knee/running injuries. This book is something that Nike and most other running shoe companies dont want you to read because it makes a case against expensive running shoes that seem to be at the root of running related injuries. I'm sure that most people wont believe this especially those who receive checks from Nike but I am going to begin a new training regiment based on the Tarahumara style of running. The Tarahumara style is primitive and it is basically running on the balls of your feet as apposed to heel first and roll. I will put my body to the test by trying to do the next marathon I do like this. Wish me luck I'll need it.
