How to Remove a cast with a Leatherman

Step 1 Get a Letherman

Step 2 Open the Leatherman to the Saw Blade and cut a line lengthwise to puncture the first layer of Fiberglass( be careful not to breath in the fibers)

Step 3 Test to see how much pain you inflicting on your victim I mean patient

Step 4 Separate the First layer of Fibeglass with your hands then to get more leverage use your hands

Step 5 Open the plier tool to force some of the stubborn pieces off. If your patient is in pain tell him or her a joke. Mother and fart jokes go over well with teenagers

Step 6 Remove the first layer and keep in mind the wrist hasnt moved in months so try not to do any High 5's

Step 6 Repeat step 1 on second layer of fiberglass. The fiberglass is not as dirty but you are getting closer to the skin and boy does it stink down in there

Step 7 Now remove second layer. whew your almost there

Step 8 Take the Leatherman and pull out the Sharp knife Tool and cut the soft cotton lining that protects the smelly hasnt been washed in 3 months arm

Step 9 Cut Cut Cut oh so carefully.. MMMMM can anyone smell dead skin yet it smells like burned hair..

Finally! We cut the cotton off and poof no more cast. I just saved 3 hours in a waiting room a 250 dollar exam with a 400 dollar procedure a day of school and a day of work all thanks to THE LEATHERMAN™

"LEGENDS NEVER DIE" Run 4.12.08

This past Saturday marked the second annual<"Legends Never Die" run. It was held for the Harold Hunter Foundation to help raise money for underpriviledged kids. It was the first time I ran it. Last time I just paid money and ate food. This time I did the 8 Mile Run. It was a HUGE turnout and Bon Bon Chicken catered the after party. Bon Bon is a Korean Style Chicken spot in Tribeca and it is like Crack.
The Bridge Runners were on hand to spice things up led by non other than Mike Saes. I felt really good to be part of this run because Harold was a special person and like Saes said at the beginning of the run if Harold would have been doing a run like this he probably would still be here.

Bijoux Altamirano Filmaker

I was honored to be part of my friend Bijoux Altamirano's Short Film
part of a Bible series of films that she has been working on. This one is on slavery in the Bible. She has some great performers, M. LAmar, he is an african american classically trained opera singer and he was reading the passages from the bible in whiteface. The scene was a "tea party/ whorehouse". Kembra from Karen Black was Eve of Evil. Viva Ruiz was in it also, she is organizing a film screening at Deitch Projects in May and I think it will premiere there- it was shot on 16mm.
I was walking around taking pictures of the place and the girls (its not about realism)- the character eventually hands the madam some money and then he exits with a girl - very Fellini-esque but more like Pasolini's Salo. There's two other "John's" in the harem scene, his name is Alessandro Magania, he co-wrote the Asia Argento movie "The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things".The second "John" is this girl Kisha Batista, she's a beautiful model/actress- very androgynous, she'll was dressed as a guy.

Museum of Broken Relationships

I was sent this link recently and It brought me back to my childhood when i brought an Axe to school to settle a problem with a schoolmate. It also gave me some ideas of what to do with my Axe and my repressed anger. ;}

Ex – Axe

1995
Berlin

She was the first woman that I let move in with me. All my friends thought I needed to learn to let people in more. After a few months of her moving in, I was offered to travel to the US. She could not come with me. We said goodby tearfully at the airport with assurance she could not survive three weeks without me.
As I returned after three weeks, she said: «I fell in love with someone else. I know her for 4 days but I know that she gives me all what you cannot give me.»
I was banal and asked about her plans regarding our life and living together. As the next day she still had no answer, I kicked her out. She went immediately with her new girlfriend on holiday while her furniture stayed with me. Not knowing what to do with my anger, I bought finally at Karstadt this axe to blow off some steam and to give her at least a small feeling of lost – which she did not have obviously after losing the relationship with me.
In the 14 days of her holidays I started to axe one piece of her furniture a day. The leftovers I let stand there, as an expression of my inner condition. The more her room became filled with choped up furniture, and therefore looked like I was feeling, I was starting to get better.
Two weeks after she was kicked out, she came to take the furniture. It was neatly arranged into small heaps and fragments of wood. She took that trash and left my apartment for the last time. The axe is lifted to a therapeutic instrument.

N.E.R.D. "Everyone Nose" Video

Diane Martel asked me shoot some do some Second Unit Directing/Camera on her N.E.R.D. video last week. It was a crazy job to work on. It was to say the least rough. There were long hours, close quarters, heavy Cameras, naked girls and more naked girls, throw in some violence for good measure and you have the makings of a 90's Rap Music Video. Thanks Diane for keeping it real in the New Millenium. Pharrell had Lindsey Lohan stop by for a scene and believe it or not there was no fucking Paparazzi. Check back soon for the video link.
